What Classmax works with

Classmax reads your coursework from your university's learning platform. That only works if we can read the platform your university uses, so here is the honest list, including what we cannot do yet.

Works today

Canvas · Instructure

Courses, deadlines, announcements, assignment instructions and the text of course pages. Files uploaded to Canvas are not read yet. Verified at three universities and colleges, including self-hosted addresses.

Blackboard Learn · Anthology

Courses, deadlines, announcements and the text inside your documents. Verified at three universities, in both the Ultra and Original course views.

Working, still improving

Moodle

Courses, assignments and deadlines sync at the universities we have tested. Reading the text inside Moodle documents and Turnitin assignment pages is still being built, so answers that depend on a brief or a reading can be thinner than on Canvas or Blackboard for now.

Not every sync is perfect

Our support is built per platform, not per school, so a university we have never seen should work the moment you connect it. We say should on purpose. Universities set these systems up differently, and now and then a course, a document or a deadline does not come through the first time.

We are adding systems and schools all the time, and most fixes come from one student telling us what was missing. If your sync looks wrong or empty, write to team@classmax.ai or use Report a problem in the app, at any time. A person reads it.

You do not pay for a sync that does not work.

We do not take a card until your coursework has come through. Your first payment has a 14-day money-back guarantee. And if a platform we support stops syncing for you and we cannot put it right, we refund that period. The details are in our Terms.

Not supported yet

  • · Google Classroom
  • · Microsoft Teams course sites
  • · Publisher platforms: McGraw Connect, Pearson MyLab, Cengage, WileyPLUS
  • · Portals that require a VPN or campus network
  • · Safari and Firefox (Classmax syncs through a Chrome extension for now)

If your university uses one of these, Classmax will not be able to read your coursework, and you should not pay for it yet. Tell us which one at team@classmax.ai. We prioritise by how many people ask.

One thing to watch when you connect

Connect Classmax to your university's own address, something like blackboard.youruni.ac.uk, youruni.instructure.com or moodle.youruni.ac.uk. Connecting to www.blackboard.com or www.instructure.com points Classmax at the software company's own website rather than your school, and it will find nothing. If that happens we will tell you in the app rather than leaving you with an empty dashboard, and we will not charge you.
